The White Keys on Every String

Write the natural notes — no sharps, no flats — up each string, one at a time.

The natural notes are A B C D E F G. Going up a string, a whole step (W) is two frets and a half step (H) is one — and the only half steps are E–F and B–C. Start from the open note and write each natural note in the box for the fret where it lands. The sharp/flat frets stay blank.

Each string gives eight notes — the seven letters, then the open note again at the 12th fret. The gap between notes is always a whole step except for the one-fret jumps at E–F and B–C. The two E strings come out identical.
