Greg Dallas
Greg Dallas, a St. Louis native, has been enamored with music from a young age. Raised in a home that nurtured creativity and artistic expression, he explored several instruments before finding a deep connection with the guitar. Before long, he was performing regularly at local venues, inspired by the likes of Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughan, and Jimmy Page. In high school, a growing fascination with jazz guitarists led him to the prestigious Berklee College of Music.
At Berklee, Greg immersed himself in a vibrant and diverse musical community, studying under world-class mentors such as Tim Miller, David Tronzo, and Tia Fuller. His time there was transformative, shaping not just his musicianship but his entire creative outlook. He graduated in 2015 with a Bachelor's Degree in Guitar Performance.
In the years since, Greg has built a multifaceted career as a freelance musician and guitar teacher, performing across genres and guiding students with a focus on both technical development and creative expression. After a period of artistic exploration in New York, he returned to his hometown of St. Louis during the pandemic—a move that unexpectedly deepened his practice.
Having completed a Master's degree in Jazz Studies, Greg continues to grow as a composer, performer, and thinker.
Greg's goal is to create work that is alive—emotionally resonant, intellectually curious, and open to the unexpected. He sees the future of art not as a rejection of tradition, but as a conversation with it—one that grows richer when we embrace the tools of our time.
Practice Lab
Alongside the playing, Greg is building a set of practice tools for musicians. The chord drone is one small piece of that — an early preview of something still very much in progress.
